Comperio Research conducted a feasibility study into possible incremental revenue drivers at a proposed new Sampdoria stadium:

  • Hospitality, including corporate boxes and VIP seats;
  • General admission reaction: the potential uplift in season tickets & other schemes
  • Naming Rights & Sector Sponsorships

Testing took place across both the corporate and general admission markets

The research employed qualitative and quantitative research approaches to ensure a valid and statistically robust study

On the qualitative side focus groups were conducted across club sponsors and business in Genoa to investigate needs and wants for hospitality products and also with Sampdoria fans, to investigate their feelings towards a new stadium and possible general admission products.

On the quantitative side telephone interviews with businesses in Genoa to estimate demands for potential products were carried out, alongside telephone interviews with Sampdoria fans.
