ISG and Comperio Research were appointed by FC Barcelona (“FCB”) to undertake a comprehensive review of their existing facilities and to develop business plans for their future facilities.
A key element of this work was a comprehensive research fieldwork project combining qualitative and conjoint research techniques as outlined above, targeting 6 different market segments in two languages (Spanish and Catalan).
Comperio Research launched a detailed survey to help FC Barcelona investigate, gather information and analyse possible options to enhance revenue streams for the Club´s future facilities.
The process of market research, in the first phase, included conducting a survey among the socios as well as corporate clients and prospective businesses in order to analyse the growth potential of revenue that could arise from possible future stadium and arena projects. The survey was sent to around 10,000 of FC Barcelona’s 170,000 socios, FC Barcelona’s corporate clients and other prospective companies.
This research is part of a long term project being undertaken by FC Barcelona who have created a dedicated internal team to coordinate the process and has hired three international firms to work together in the development of market research, design and operations of large stadiums and arenas: International Stadia Group, AEG and Icon Venue Group.
